Statements put to rest!!!!!!

I saw this website a long while ago on several of my friends blogs and always wanted to try it but we didn't have good pics of all of us until now. Evan was against it at first because he knows everyone says his children don't look like him. But the results were better than predicted as you can see Langdon doesn't look soooo much like me according to the meter, and I just knew Teagan would be slanted to Evans side but not so much. Teagan looks very similar to Evans baby pictures. Anyway it was fun to find out.

Here are the Santa pics, I also included some houses we saw that are part of the Richmond Tacky Light tour. Enjoy

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone, we are still here just as usual busy like everyone else. We really enjoyed the season this year, it is really exciting for us to be raising 2 sweet little boys. Langdon had so much for on Christmas I think he finally finished opening some presents on Saturday. Try and explain to a 2 year old to open and keep moving, he justs wants to play with what is open at that moment. Not to mention also being interested in Teagans new toys as well. Can you say system overload? I think the moral of this Christmas for our family was excited but cautious, that is how Langdon was with Santa. It was how we felt about Langdon and our Christmas Tree and also how Langdon felt about Christmas morning when his parents tried to make a non morning person fired up about Santa gifts. I am thankful Teagan was there as a watchful observer, maybe he can teach Langdon whats up next year.

After numerous attempts to get a pic of Langdon with Santa we finally settled for one with Langdon standing near him and we exposed Santa to the next best thing, a Langdon fist bump. So all in all we feel like for this year that was a success.

In Teagans world life is good, he is mostly sitting up on the floor by himself he is eating some veggies and is growing so fast. He is the sweetest happy baby boy do I feel blessed. Teagan is having his circumsion next wednesday so I look forward to putting that chapter of his young life away. Please pray for us on Wednesday Jan. 7 as I will be a very worried and anxious mother and I am the strong one of the parents.

The last bit of news I will include and it is big is that we are moving. Our prayers of 8 years have finally been answered on Gods terms of course. Evan has accepted a position with his current company in Bentonville Arkansas. The house will go on the market in the next few weeks so when it sells, off we will go. As you can imagine we are very busy getting this place ready to sell hopefully quickly, once again pray for us. Enjoy the pics from this holiday season.

Family photos taken during Thanksgiving

It's the most wonderful time of the year!!!!!

It is a wonderful time of year, somewhat exhausting but so much fun. What could be better than watching an almost 3 year old try to grasp the extent of christmas. Langdon has discovered presents but when in the world can he open them. He asks regularly if he and Teagan can open presents. Santa around our house is known as Ho Ho and he would be more than happy to let Ho Ho know that he wants Jimmy Johnson and Football but not to the length of sitting on Ho Ho's lap to do so. I have come to the conclusion that if it is going to happen it will be a process. We waved at Santa at the mall when he wasn't looking but that is it. Our next attempt will be breakfast with Santa this weekend and if all goes pretty well, we will attempt sitting on his lap at another location. Will we stress about it absolutely not, we didn't get a picture last year and probally won't this year which to me is pretty funny. It has been a lot of fun to see all the lights while driving in the car and read christmas stories including the real reason we celebrate. I feel so blessed that God has given me 2 sweet little boys to raise and train to be great men, and Christmas is such a special time to be reminded of that.

Teagan is growing so fast and doing so much. He loves to watch and try to grab anything he can get his hands on. He is just about sitting on his own on the floor and is moving all around in his crib. Did I mention the boy loves to sleep, he refuses to be rocked just wants you to put him in his bed and be left alone. Can you imagine. Enjoy the pics the first one pretty much sums up this time of year and how exhausting it is for everyone. Enjoy

Finally back to blogville, boy it has been awhile. I like everyone else have been so busy and just got back on Monday from a Thanksgiving trip home. We had such a good time and the trip went so fast. Because gas is so cheap we decided to drive back home to Mississippi and Alabama which is 14 hours for us but we split up the drive into 2 days and the boys did excellent. We were so blessed and thankful to not encounter any real traffic and any other problems while driving with 2 small kids. It was so wonderful to get to spend time with our family and finally get so show off Teagan. Langdon got some much needed time with Grandparents and loved playing with his Cousins and friends. It was so great to see everyone we miss family and friends terribly by living so far away. Even though we love to be back at home I guess eventually you have to get back to the daily grind so we are back and getting ready for Christmas. Thanks to everyone for your entertainment and fellowship we had a blast . Here are some pics from the trip. Also one last note we had our pictures done by our dear sweet friend Jennifer so if you would like to see them go to http://www.jennifernicholson.smugmug.com/ and see all the neat work she does.

Washington DC and Playhouse Disney

We had a very exciting and fun filled weekend in our nations capital we got tickets for Langdon to see Playhouse Disney Live and decided it was a great opportunity to spend the weekend also in D.C. which was a first for everyone. We had such a great time and took in some great sites. We saw the Washington Monument and Capital Hill and spent the afternoon at the Smithsonian. We rode the Metro train to get down there which Langdon thought was neat and he did a great job with lots of walking. Some friends of ours were so sweet to spend time with us and show us around thanks Alicia and Jaz we had such a good time. Sunday was the show and it was fun to watch how Langdon would react. All the kids were up dancing and singing but Langdon was the quiet observer. I was unsure at first if he liked it but it was all he could talk and sing about later, so I guess were good. We had some unsettling traffic issuses on the way home but not enough to spoil such a great family weekend. Enjoy the pics

Happy Halloween Go Jimmy Go

Halloween around our house was awesome. Langdon had such a blast this year. Who knew such a young boy could walk as far and carry such a heavy bag? you can't tell by the picture Langdon was Jimmy Johnson the nascar driver for Halloween. Honestly it would have been a crime on my part to put him in anything other than that due to the fact that the cars are with him every second he is home. He is either racing them on the table or they are set up as a football team on the couch but they are definitly part of breathing to him. Langdon was such a trooper trick or treating. Always announcing his arrival to each house and saying thank you. It was such a treat to see him in action. No matter how heavy the bag got, he refused to let anyone carry it. Teagan and I walk the neighborhood for quite a while then we headed home and Evan finished the rest of the route. The good news is Langdon hasn't asked for the candy, I think he has forgotten about it. Langdon has also rediscovered his toy drum and loves to play it while Imagination movers which is a kids show is on. It is really hilarious. We are really content watching our boys grow, and although we may not branch out much we are happy because Langdon is such great comic relief. Oh to be so young and adventurous.

No real exciting news to report lately we have been under the weather around here. Langdon spent the weekend with a stomach virus boy was that fun and Teagan and I have a cold. Of all the things I could share with a small baby did it have to be that.....I feel so blessed and thankful that it took two and half years before we had to deal with stomach viruses. Poor Langdon was so sick and scared, but he has recovered nicely and is back to his old self. We had company over the weekend and John was so easy going about the whole ordeal. The only pics to include would be our sweet Teagan playing in the exersaucer. He is such a happy smily baby, it makes it so much fun. We are just looking forward to Halloween on Friday, I know Langdon will enjoy trick or treating with the neighbors. Stay tuned for much more fun in the future.

Pumpkin Patch etc.....

Finally we had some fun outside of the house.... We spent saturday at the pumpkin patch only the irony is that we didn't come home with what we went for which was pumpkins... We got to the patch at about 11:30 and this place had lots of stuff. Pumpkins of course a petting zoo, the moon bounce, a huge corn maze, haunted house, snack bar, pig races, corn launchers, and several other things. I think Evan might have had the most fun, but it was a great day. Langdons favorite thing by far was the hour he spent in the moon bounce trying to wrestle very unsuspecting kid in there. He found the pig races exciting and the pumpkin milkshake he shared with Evan. Teagan and I kept a low key profile just walking around and watching. There was so much we would have liked to do but Langdon being the scheduled child that he is had a meltdown about 1:30 because he takes a daily nap at 1:00 to the minute. So we headed home after creating some good memories.

The rest of the weekend was filled with losing football and winning nascar so we were semi happy the weekend of sports wasn't a total loss. It was chilly here so the weekend felt like a great fall experience. I am including pics of Langdons daily car activity and the boys in the tub. Teagan is so much fun these days, he smiles all the time and babbles so much, I look so forward to the future with him. Enjoy

Once again a pretty low key weekend, it was a working one meaning that Evan punched the yard and layed seed and fertilized so that we keep the grass that we have. Langdon of course enjoyed being outside to over see that project. I cleaned the inside and Teagan just watched. Teagan is getting so big and strong. He sits up well on a lap and against the couch. He just loves to look around and explore with his eyes. One funny thing is in the morning when I go to get him he is usually talking to the fan. Maybe he is saying good morning, or will you slow down. Langdon is still doing pretty well Potty training I guess good enough that he is telling people about it. My neighbor got a pretty good disertation about the whole process the other day in the driveway. I guess she may think twice next time she asks him what happening. Last weekend I ordered tickets to go see Playhouse Disney Live in Fairfax Virginia, so we are very excited about that. Langdon has never been to anything like that so he will hopefully be stoked. We will see that on Nov 9 so we are going to take the opportunity to explore Washington DC as well. I will be sure to take lots of Pics.

Potty Training and Brotherly Love

So we spent friday, sat. and sun getting started on potty training, and it is definitly training..... I have to say all in all it went better than expected and if nothing else it was for me to gauge where we stand on a whole. I tried to come up with the best and easiest way for Langdon to learn but after a revelation 2 days into it, Langdon had his own thoughts on the matter. Needless to say without going into to much detail. Sunday was a success I think and we are on our way. You can't really go backwards after this so more to come on that situation as it progresses. Teagan is still doing awesome sleeping all night so we are very excited. He is starting to babble and it is so funny and sweet. Our little boy is changing so fast. Surprisingly Teagan looks a lot like Evans baby pics which is very exciting for Evan. Even though he looks very similar to Langdon he has a bunch of Evans features like skin tone, hair color and is very long in his torso. I think he is going to be much bigger than Langdon. It was a good week and weekend for us although the blog may not state such excitement.
